Saw this place last time we had dinner in Sawtelle, and decided to go on Saturday night. We were seated quickly and it didn’t take long to get our food, either.
Neither of us had ever had okonomiyaki before, so nothing to compare it to, but it was delicious! This restaurant serves it Hiroshima style, and in case you don’t know what that is, it’s a layered dish with a savory thin pancake, cabbage, noodles, pork belly, egg, and the toppings of your choice. You cut it into segments with the little spatula, and attempt to get all the layers in each bite.
I had the corn cheese mayo version, while my husband had the one with broccoli and shrimp. He was able to get them to hold the pork (that comes on all of them by default), and still very much enjoyed it. It’s also a lot of food for ~$20 or so a person. Would recommend!
