I’m looking to get my first pellet grill, and I am stuck between these two options:

  1. Members Mark 36” Pellet Grill
    • The store near me has it for $269.

  1. Pitt Boss Pro Series 850
    • Currently costs $550 at Lowe’s near me, but I’m thinking it might see a heavy discount in the next month or so, and deciding if I should wait it out for this one due to it being a nice brand and has wifi.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Also, I love this sub and thanks for getting me eager to join this hobby 🙂

    We Need Your Help!

We’ve noticed that recent changes in Reddit’s algorithms have made it harder for original content (OC) communities like ours to get the visibility we used to enjoy. This shift means that posts and comments aren’t getting the attention they deserve.

Members mark, however I would prefer a pit boss from academy, their lids slide rather than lift, and the lifting lids always seem to slam on my fingers.

Keep in mind, the Member’s Mark is a Nexgrill packaged for Sam’s. I love my Pit Boss so I’m a little prejudice as far as preferences go. My local Walmart is already marking the grills down.

I’d recommend the members mark, especially at that price. I think it’s a steal for even its full price and surprisingly I’ve used it more than even my Masterbuilt gravity. I’m not saying it’s better than that smoker, as I really enjoy it, but I’m saying I can handle the pellets for fuel a little easier than charcoal and with the smoke box, it can really amp the smoke up to as much as you want. An added bonus, it’s my understanding you can return the members mark at any time, for any reason, and they’ll even pick it up. That’s what helped me decide to even try it, and now that I have it, I’d only really replace it with a camp chef if I wanted the extra features

Ive had the members mark since Easter. Works great for me. Overnight pork shoulders. Had 1 issue where i must not of cleaned the burn pot/ash and it smoked and lost temp. Cleaned it. Worked good since.

Thinking of buying another for cabin for labor day Especially if they are marked down at sams.

Ohh and bought new probes from amazon cuz either i did something or the ones they send are junk. But amazon ones have worked perfectly and were about 15 bucks

I’ve had the Members Mark for 2 months now. Never a problem. Added some grill grates and a Bluetooth thermometer.
