I can’t decide if it’s worth it or just a potential pile of junk. DCS retail $$$$ for new but I can’t find any info about this grill. Someone give me a rationale to justify it for my wife…!

Yes, yes I would. If it’s not worth repairing, just leave the “free” sign on it and leave it, some other sap will take it.

I mean….. the rotisserie spit is in there and everything. Hard not to.

I was gonna say no until I looked up the price of these grills. Replacement burner tubes and heat shields could cost next to nothing compared to the profit you could get. Can’t tell if anything else is wrong but if that’s it I say go for it.

Edit: Did some google lense research and it looks like this is an older model. It was $3k new which means it was already on the lower end of their product line. People aren’t selling them for much, probably not worth the money/time you’d put into fixing it unless you want it for yourself.

What exactly does “up the hill” mean? I pushed my elderly neighbors stalled car up a large hill recently and i certainly didnt get a free grill in return lol.

If youre implying the effort needed to get this grill, is a bit of physical effort to push it up a hill, it would be insane to turn this down. Judging by the condition, i could get this grill to 95% new in like 2 hours of effort.

  5. If nothing else it’s scrap metal . How much is stainless going for a pound ?

We left our old barbecue out with a free sign and some dude showed up with a hatchet and chopped off all the metal to sell for scrap :/

I would take it in a heartbeat. Just replace anything too rusted with parts from Amazon. WAY cheaper than buying a new one.

No. What are the cross streets tho?

I mean if you don’t mind sinking a bit of money for some new parts. It looks like stainless steel so it’s probably decent quality.

I personally would scoop this up and just replace the burners, grates and flame shields.

You could make a fortune just selling the knobs.

I place just about anything out on the curb where bulk trash picks up, and it is usually gone within 24 hours. Something like this would get snatched up real quick. No need for the “FREE” tape.

No need for a gamble. Two dudes. A Truck. Lift and load. Drive away. Unload. Repair. Enjoy.

Yeah I’d take it, clean it up and fix it if needed.

Yes, absolutely. Free is free but it does need some work

We need an update if you restore it

I wouldn’t because I don’t ever cook for 1000 people and don’t need that Cybertruck looking monstrosity on my deck. I already have a Weber performer, Weber spirit 2 burner and a Blackstone. That’s everything I need to cook anything I want. I keep my deep fryer steps away in the garage for any fried foods. Because sometimes you just can’t beat a fried wing, then sauced, then quickly charred over burning hot coals. Ok I’m rambling now. See what you started.

Open it up and look inside. There isn’t much to these grills. Gas lines feed manifolds. There are some ignitors to light each manifold. I moved into a house with a massive grill like this and invested some time in cleaning it up. You can get a brush to clean webs out of gas lines. Pull out the manifolds and soak and clean them, etc.

    Go for it.

At first I thought that was one of those Cyber trucks

C’mon bubbles, we’re taking this back to the trailer park so we can make a killing selling burgers.
