I miss pink Brandywine! I grew up in East TN, then moved to Western NC, both in the Appalachian mountains. Summers were hot, but tolerable and we generally had adequate rain I could grow Brandywine with ease (plus Mortgage Lifter, Cherokee Purple, German Johnson and other old timey heirlooms.) But after moving to the flat, hot, humid center of NC where drought is common, these varieties just don’t do well for me sadly. I’ll admire your gorgeous specimen from afar. 😍
