All of the Habaneros and Serrano labels were switched at the local Amish produce market. I tried to tell the lady in charge but she scoffed at me and told me I was wrong. Someone is gonna have a bad day.

Well I would hope people could tell the difference between Serrano peppers and habanero peppers. But that’s still a bad mistake. Those are so perfect looking habaneros for some salsa or cut up and put in a stir fry.

I once came across nagas labeled simply “red chiles” in a Norwegian grocery store. I told an employee as well and got a completely disinterested response. I always wondered where they ended up.. they aren’t usually sold here and the red chiles that are tend to be very mild.
