For a friend's birthday, favorite colors blue and orange. My 2nd time decorating with royal icing. I was lazy and didn't want to make multiple consistencies of icing so I was a little limited. The cupcakes were one of those cutters that had a stamp on it, but it caused the icing to crater – anyone experience that before?

I really have a block when it comes to wanting to do multiple consistencies. And my icing was much more flood-y this time than my first time, even though I used the same recipe.

And one of the white dots I put on the large orange star had a pit in it when I woke up this morning. What's that about?

Definitely learning a lot, will take any tips/critiques you have!

Have you tried the 20 second flooding process yet. I outline and flood with the same consistency. I mix my icing then run a knife through it and it should take between 15-20 seconds for it to come back together. I started out letting my outline dry before I flooded and it looked awful but when I started this it made it soooo much easier.
