The wings from Side Eye Pie (Meanwhile location) are truly spectacular. They soak them in duck confit for 16 hours and cook them in their brick oven. Also, for any bleu cheese lovers their homemade bleu cheese dressing was absolutely my favorite… ever. The chicken was also SUPER juicy and moist, slid right off the bone. Worth hitting them up for the wings alone – za is also incredible

    “Soak them in duck confit…”

Um, that’s not really a thing. Confit is cooking anything submerged in fat, low and slow. So it would be more proper to say they are confit chicken wings cooked in Duck fat, and of course they fall right off the bone, that’s the whole point of confit (as well as the coverage of cooled fat helps with extended preservation of the cooked meat.

Fantastic wings and I’m always down to spend a couple more bucks to support an independent owner / operator vs a restaurant group / chain
