Habanero. Never makes any “best” list & isn’t an influencer destination, but that’s just fine by me.

Tacos Guerrero has the best breakfast tacos imo and yet I hardly ever see them mentioned on this sub.

    Taquerias Arandinas at William cannon

El Nuevo Mexico and Vazquez on Braker

El Chile on Manor Rd. Never hear anyone talk about this place, but it blows my mind every time I go no matter what I order. The tops shelf frozen margarita is, imo, the best margarita in town. I would highly suggest only having one though. Straight up dangerous.

Manuel’s. I think the location (NW Austin parking lot) works against it but the food is fantastic.

Am I goofing for lovin Amaya’s Taco Village??

Sorry we’re not there yet but Chuy’s is most overrated

La tapatia on n 183. Actual Mexican not texmex. Huge bk tacos and cheap before 10am, big servings in general, food taste fresh, their tacos smack

Native Texan and 30+ year Austinite here. The only answer is Julio’s Cafe on Duval.

I feel like grouping Mexican and Tex-Mex is too wide of a net.
