Is boneless beef shoulder roast swappable for any chuck roast slow cooker recipe out there? Or does boneless beef shoulder need to cook longer or have more fat added, since it might be leaner and have a vastly different amount of connective tissue?

I searched on youtube and saw this video but this one looks tough and over-cooked. So I'm thinking of trying this recipe instead but it's for the wrong cut of meat:
