First year keeping my countertop tomatoes in sealed containers instead of an open fruit bowl. Zero fruit flies so far, would certainly recommend. Just open the containers at least once a day and wipe down the sides and top of any condensation.

How long have you been doing this? Do you wash them off before sealing them up? I think fruit fly eggs come in on the fruit, and will still hatch in the bin?
