Balık Dürüm is one of the more iconic single items you could ever want to eat in Istanbul. I found what seems to be the best choice of street cart, and Li and I enjoy a very cool walk to find it. After the extremely tasty mackerel fish wraps, we continue on through the market streets to find another type of meat-and-bread combination – the Burek – together making a perfect combo meal of the Best Street Foods in Istanbul.
Although the recipes are simple, I think food like this could easily be taken home as a ‘favorite meal’ of a trip. Maybe you could actually try to take some home but… maybe its better left instead as a reason to return ASAP to Türkiye! We love this food, and I think this video is a pretty good description of some of the reasons why.
Also, kudos to Li for what I think is possibly the coolest thumbnail ever! I love this one, what do you think?
Much love, see you for the next awesome food adventure in Turkey very soon!!

You would think they would use fresh fish caught in the Istanbul Bosporus you get the illusion it is because its served near the ocean but know they are frozen Makeral fillet fish are from Norway country not Turkey and i tried it aint anything to rave about its all the spices and stuff that makes it tasty

More taste if you can, you goto Manisa-nazilli, denizli and Afyon-kaymak city
Least friendly I’ve visited in all my life. Hope it was better for you !
Fish dürüm is neither a traditional product nor something with a long history. It emerged recently as a result of the whole 'kebapization' process of Turkish cuisine: Wrap anything in thin bread, add some spices. Fish has never been eaten like kebab in Turkey. But they invented this because it's easy to sell to tourists. And it doesn’t even taste good. The fish doesn’t even come from the Turkish seas or the Bosphorus. They use frozen Norwegian mackerel. It's disgusting…
Kır pidesi (kırpidesi mostly they write) is really a budget food. It's like you have more money than needed for a simit but less money than real börek or pide , you buy kır pidesi. Fast and cheap take away breakfast ..kind of something you eat with ayran or çay let's say.
İyi tatiller .iyi eğlenceler Boğaz tarafı Ortaköy tarafına gidin Mükemmel Manzarası var
Su böreğini tadın kıymalı ve peynirli mükemmel lezzetli
So much warmth, thank you both.
