Special note: Recipe was given to us by one of our viewers and this is her husbands great grandmother’s recipe. The original recipe was written in her hand writing a long time ago. Special thanks to Joy for sharing their recipe with us.

Thanks Bonita for the memories, my Mom used to make a similar recipe and then french toast slices of it <3
Glad to see just a half cup of sugar, that's great since the raisins lend such wonderful sweetness…you never disappoint Bonita, thanks again for inspiring all of us!! 😄
I usually use less sugar than what’s called for too!
This is a keeper!♥️👍🙏🤓
Mmmm, my mom used to make this with walnuts, too. Sooo delicious! Thanks for reminding me, Bonita. I’ll be making it asap!
Hi Bonita and Raymond. This bread looks amazing. I bet your kitchen smells wonderful. My husband and I are going to have house guests in a couple of weeks. They will be staying with us for 15 days. I have been cooking and baking like crazy and putting in the freezer. As soon as I get to a store and buy some oranges for that orange zest, I will be making these. I was thinking about making some big muffins instead of the bread and serving them at one of our breakfasts. I have just made banana bread and Dutch Apple bread, so I think that is enough sweet breads, but I thought about making a breakfast muffin. Thank you for sharing your recipe from Joy.
Looks absolutely delicious thank you
Can you make this bread with wheat flour
