Just bought it a week ago and now it started losing leaves and the peppers are leaning down. What do I do so that it keeps growing as a house plant? I am not that interested in fruit.

i’ve received as gift same plant, i’ve put it in a bigger pot and put it outside in the garden sun, at first lost almost all leaves, then they grew again and is in perfect health flowering with new fruits.

and those peppers are edible and just a little big spicy.

Take all the peppers off, they’re draining all the plants ability to grow more (leaves, roots, etc.) After that a repot would definitely help as the soil they use in stores is just meant to be a root medium and not much else (not nutrition or structure for the plant/roots).
