So I’m kind of frustrated. I’ve had my Camp Chef WW Pro for like 6 months. Loving it.
However my covers don’t seem to do much.
Granted I’m stuck with where it’s at – in direct sunlight, no other options.
I bought a third party grill cover and it would rain and rain would sop the cover and just pour onto the side kick flat top, as evidenced by the rust – if it rains, it gets to the flat top.
So I bought the camp chef one, thinking it was just a bad cover. I put it on on Wednesday, and we had our first rain since then, and I decided to check it, same thing.
What the hell can I do?

Covers that are 100% waterproof will still allow condensation to form on the underside. There is no great option sans keeping them under an awning or inside a building imo.
Take that cast iron off
They make a silicone cover that sits right on my 36 inch Blackstone. Keeps all moisture off. And I have a regular cover. Never any issues with rust.
See if they have one for your size. They might.
Look at Amazon for orange Blackstone silicone cover and go from there. They work.
Aside from taking off the attachment which seems like a pain, do they make smaller covers? Maybe a little cover that just protects the side kick that’s under the main grill cover.
Like the other comment mentioned it’s probably condensation so if you have something to catch that it could help.
Camp chef makes a storage bag for the cast iron flat top.
i quickly learned that the cast iron flat top is an inside pet – doesn’t matter how good of a cover you have, humidity is going to find its way in.
unfortunately that means i pretty much never use it – i don’t even remember the last time i took off the pizza oven for it.
on a related note, i f’n love the camp chef pizza oven.
I throw a loose towel over my CI Sidekick griddle before I put the cover on tne WW. It apparently wicks up any moisture ‘cos I never get any rust.
