TLDR; Owner, Arjav Ezekiel rose through the restaurant ranks becoming a sommelier and opening Birdie’s in Austin, Texas. Few knew of his past as an undocumented immigrant.

Wrote this elsewhere but I can confirm for a fact that Arjav and Tracy, owners of Birdie’s, are WONDERFUL people who care about their staff immensely.
Their employees ABSOLUTELY make a livable wage, rarely go into overtime (unheard of in restaurants) and make great tips. They also get two weeks paid vacation every December and August for a total of 4 weeks PTO, which is more than I’ve ever gotten at an office job.
To say anything otherwise is gross speculation. Source? I WORKED FOR THEM FOR 2 YEARS. I left to move back to my home state for family stuff, and they were incredibly supportive of me.
