They are evil incarnate. I’ve lost many many pepper plants to these little bastards. And when you pull them off, they usually take a branch with them. Whatever you do, do not feed them to any pets.

where are you located? They’re now in the perfect state for overwintering on the bright side <3… But I know how devastating it can be I had one decimate a tomato plant overnight this year.

Just got (hopefully) done heavy eyeballing my plants twice a day for these guys last two weeks. Just got to be diligent with it. If you see a couple, you’re due to see a couple more. Go out at night and search for them with a black light or regular flashlight and look up what the moths look like and kill those too. That said, it is really kinda impressive how much they can eat in just a handful of hours

Yea anyone who sympathizes with them I just don’t understand.

    UGH.

I made a thread about these bastards recently, and was told to use a UV light at night to light them up. It’s true! It works! For what it’s worth, they like to ride the underside of leaves (when they are small enough to do so). As they get larger, they tend to have to brace on the stems more and are less hidden. So when you go out there, you’ll have to turn the leaves and look a lot along the undersides.

When an infestation is new, apparently they like to start near the top of the plant, and this has indeed been my experience recently.

Yep. Ya gotta watch out for those pesky porkers ‘cos otherwise they will keep eating/ruining your plants if you let them. I usually just pick them off one by one and feed them to my bird’s, toss ‘em in a bucket full of soapy water or let the parasitoid wasps work their magic.

Squish on site or relocate to the roof for birds. They seem to actually be demons
