(I ate two before taking this pic, so for the full volume experience, imagine they're there haha.)

These are so easy to make and ridiculously addictive. Also shockingly breadlike – see the 2nd and 3rd pics for a cross-section!

Ingredients:
-1 can (240g) of white beans
-Psyllium husk (around a tablespoon)
-Cheese of your choice (40g)
-Spices of your choice (I used salt, pepper, basil and garlic powder)

1.) Rinse and drain the can of beans as thoroughly as you can.

2.) Blend them smooth.

3.) Add your spices, and start adding psyllium husk in small increments and mixing it in until you get a firm, kneadable ball of "dough". The amount you need will vary depending on how thoroughly you've drained your beans, but it's around a tablespoon. Your dough should be a bit sticky at this point.

  1. Let your dough rest for 5-10 minutes. It should stop being sticky.

  2. Preheat oven to 180°c.

  3. Form dough into breadsticks. Bake for 20 minutes.

  4. Flip your sticks. Top with cheese. Bake for 10 more minutes.

  5. Inhale them. Try not to burn your mouth. Optionally, dip them into your sauce of choice.

This dough is actually very versatile, you can use it as a pizza crust, for pretzels, etc. You can't really taste the beans, it just tastes like brown bread. If you make it, let me know how you like it!
