Butternut and sweet potato soup with bacon —was a little labor-intensive but delicious and perfect for a rainy early-fall evening. Instead of the garlic bread I paired it with some leftover bruschetta I had from one of my favorite restaurants.

Soup season? It was 100° where I live in California yesterday. Today it “only” got up to about 90°. Looks like it’s supposed to cool down some for the rest of the week though.
