Got these as seedlings from my neighbor, some measure 7" long haven't tried one yet , are these cayenne?

    They look somewhere between a Cayenne and an Arbol. Tons of sub varieties of each, wouldn’t surprise me if it was either.

    I would say they are probably a Cayenne cultivar of some kind from the shape and appearance of the exterior – possibly one of the Hangjiao space chillis or one of many other longer and wider than average Cayenne types (such as Longhorn or Ohnivec).

    Yup. Mine are just coming in too. These are great peppers to maintain heat and get a red color in hot sauce. They don’t have much flavor but they will add to a sauce without changing the flavor profile while providing a good base of heat. Invaluable peppers for saucing.
