Easy 5*s.

Pupusas (3.50 ea)- 1 chicharron, 1 bean. Crispy exterior, soft flavorful center. Nice fresh pickled veggies to put on top, and the usual salsas, altho the red is very different to what you'd get from a taco truck. Very mild and thin, good coating for the pupusas.

Plantains- insanely good ($8 plate). Well caramelized. The beans they came with were genuinely the best latin beans I've ever had, only wish the portion was bigger because they're crazy. Also served with a delightful hard cheese that I assume is queso duro blando, sitting in a cheese sauce.

For desert, the sugar crusted platano empanada (2 for $6). So soft inside it was basically custard. Yummy.

Ignore the item covered in salsa (I made that haha).

Paired with a 'jamaica' agua fresca from La Casita De Los 5, next door to Gusto. $5 for a huge serving. $4 for the normal large size, I believe.
