I have seen a couple post about smoked chili recently. You talked me into it. I’m not following any specific recipe I just took a walk through the garden and grabbed whatever looked like it needed pickled. Then raided the pantry for the rest. I have included a picture of what I’m starting with. I’ll tase it part way through the cook and add as many hot peppers as I think I can get away with or more tomato if it’s too spicy for some of the more capsaicin sensitive members of the family.
Yes I know what I’m making isn’t technically chili because I added beans and macaroni noodles. I grew up in a large family with a small budget these ingredients feel like home cooked chili to me.

Beans? No meat???
Not Chilli… it’s bean stew…
Deets in the apple pie and the corn bread. Are you running the pit at 225 or ?
Some people think chili doesn’t have beans in it? Huh???
Anyway, looks good. I want to try cooking the meat over the pot now too.
I smoked ground beef and italian sausage, beans and dice tomatoes then assembled mine, first attempt.
