  1. This looks incredible. What else than beef and onion did you add? I would love to try and make this

    Alright, for the recipe:

    Ingredients:
    2kg beef (shoulder)
    2kg + onions
    6 carrots
    6 sticks celery
    6 cloves of garlic
    2 apples
1 bottle of decent red wine
    100g of paprika powder
    40g of cumin
    2 bay leaves
    1,6kg of canned tomatoes
    4 tbsp tomato puree
    2 tbsp flour
Salt, pepper, sugar, chili to taste
    Water (if needed)

    1. Slice onions and cook down on low heat, season well with salt, sugar, chili
    2. Cut the beef, season, and sear well in a separate pan. Set aside.
    3. Finely cut the celery, carrots & garlic. Fry in the beef pan, add tomato puree. Fry for 2-3 minutes, add spices. Wait another 2-3 minutes, then add wine und scratch that pan. Turn of heat.
    4. When the onions are ready, add the flour, stir for 4-5 minutes.
    5. Add the beef, wine, tomatoes and veggie-spice mix. Grate two apples and throw them in the mix. Bring it to a simmer on lowest heat and let it cook for 2,5-3,5h depending on the meat.
    6. Season to taste and plate up with sour cream (or anything you enjoy, really).

What if you used fire roasted tomatoes instead
    Of regular 👀

That looks good, and also very different from what we call “goulash” in my region! Lol
