What happened here? Too much fertilizer?

I tried a greenhouse this year too, and struggled to keep my plants hydrated and alive in the extreme heat of summer. If it’s 90 degrees outside, I swear it’s 115, or more, inside. Even with the window covers open. The idea was to protect the plants from pests. I managed to keep my peppers alive, but they haven’t produced anything. They have been too stressed to bother with fruit production. My tomatoes fared even worse. I think it’s safe to say my greenhouse experiment has been an utter failure. It will serve well to start seedlings in late winter and maybe keep succulents, but unless I can rig up some drip irrigation on a timer, I don’t think I’ll be using the greenhouse to grow nightshades in the future.

  2. what zone? I think some people use greenhouses for over wintering. Most of the advice we saw for the last couple months were to use a shade cloth because it was uncomfortably hot during peak summer.
