The bucket on the left is for soap water, bucket on the right is for sani water. We’re told to clean our own pans after we use them (understandable) but this is what the water looks like after 5 pans… when you change the water you have to hand wash both buckets in soap and sani and clean the brushes which takes about 10 minutes (nobody does this but I do because there’s food gunk all over everything). I’m used to either the cooks or dishwashers taking the dirty pans and replacing them with pans that were ran through the machine. 90% of the pans are cleaned with dirty water shown in the picture.
Probably the dirtiest kitchen I’ve ever worked in, don’t think I’ll last very long.
Thoughts?

I refuse to serve guests food that is cooked on dirty cookware, hard to believe I’m the only person in this kitchen that thinks like this
Run.
Might wanna report that to health department, that’s disgusting. Your job doesn’t have a dishwasher?
no. are those toilet brushes??
find a new job, this is a clear sign it’ll only get worse
Well, there is a first (and last) time for everything.
You know how sometimes you have to delegate tasks to others and when you come back to check on them they’ve managed to waste a ton of time doing it the stupidest way possible? That’s what I’d feel walking into this scene. I don’t think I’d be able to get over this until I left. My drives home would be consumed with hating the dirty bucket system.
Ughhhhhhhh these places should be named and shamed!!
Always interesting starting a new job, especially in the restaurant industry, in which everybody is very sure of themselves doing things incorrectly and you just have to suck it up and listen to management.
Hope it was a good final shift. Good luck on the next endeavor
How can you possibly be allowed to operate without a three compartment sink?
Save your sanity and soul quickly..
You clean them with curry!?
Remind me never to eat here
Big fat “gtfoutta there” and also call the goddamned health department dude, please. Cooking jobs are abundant, you don’t have to do this to yourself (and the general public)

The floor is the cleanest part of any kitchen so I’m amazed more places don’t do their dishes on them.
bruh you should ask for a walk-through of a kitchen next time you get a good interview. I’ve walked out of two shit shows before I even started because of a pre-hire walkthrough. I can’t even imagine how disgusting that place is if they’re doing shit like this, surprised the health inspector hasn’t been called due to customers obviously getting sick from this shit.
Report and go
That’s gross. Three compartment is the bare minimum I’ll work with. I wouldn’t wash my dishes at home with that shit
Wrong wrong wrong.
I feel your pain.
Ok that’s one of the most ratchet systems I’ve ever seen lol
That’s fucking nasty where is at so I never go
please pls health departmentize this joint. Just spend a few minutes thinking about unawaredly eating there if you’re hesitant.
Name and shame!
Wtf 🤮
I’d report it. Then quit.
Report and run wtf
this is most certainly a health code violation… yikes. like everyone else said, run
Better un-get that job quick.
When a kitchen is this bad, you have a moral obligation to call the health department. If you don’t you are complicit.
What the fuck? Are those toilet brushes?
*claims dirtiest kitchen I’ve ever worked in*
but doesn’t walk out. 🤷♀️
I need people like the OP to explain this to me cos every place I thought was dirty. I’ve walked out in.
1 place. I had only been working there for 3 days. at the end of my 3rd shift. I just said..
yeah don’t think this place is for me. I ain’t coming back tmrw
the owner than started yelling at me threatening to “blacklist” me for being unprofessional for walking out on my 3rd day.
I didn’t get paid for the 3 days I worked there. I didn’t even bother taking them to court cos the owner was a nasty and mean and threatening. I chalked it up to a “thank god I don’t work there experience”
*”No this pan is fine. We already scrubbed it in the puke-bucket on the floor next to the trash can.”*
*Busts out laughing, says “Go fuck yourself” and finds another kitchen.*
**no trash liner**
Every one is saying to report it, I say *burn* it
I am currently in a position where we are watched like hawks from 3 different hierarchies.
There are bad practices going on – a lot of negligence, I’m already getting dragged into it and I’m trying to find a way out without casting blame at anyone or actively ruining their job.
