He cleaned it up himself though…
It happened right before the dinner shift would start and were about to clean the floor after prep

I have a feeling more than a few containers are gonna “accidently” hit the floor in the next few days.

My co worker dropped a 1/3 pan of tomato soup out of the warmer yesterday, so sad I didnt get a picture I could’ve been famous

One time I did it backwards. I had to fill in for the opener who was on PTO. We had bug fumigation the night before and no warning to me. So the line is bare, no food, no plates, anything.

That also includes 5 fryers empty. We had the pump, but took about 5 min each to fill. I can fill them while doing other tasks. No big deal.

Dishie is helping set up the line. He knocks over a couple pans of food. We clean the floors. I’m stressed 30 min into opening, time for a cig. I forgot I was filling up the oil. Come back to the line covered in oil. We clean up a 2nd time and then a 2nd smoke break.

I mean, same though. Sometimes you just have a enough and need to collect yourself first

I have way too many memories of this exact scenario involving various quantities of ranch.

I’ve been there. Drop a 2 pan of bullshit and just walk out for a minute before i come back to clean it up. Only ok if it’s in prep for the day, during service you clean it up then you can go hang out with the dumpster for a minute.

Did your guy also expect you to clean it up for him while he was gone?

Sometimes it be like that. I’m no longer in kitchens, but when I pop a piece of glass on accident, I usually throw my hat and go outside for a minute.
