I saw a social media post (ad?) this afternoon about an event I had never heard of called Off the Hook on the Santa Monica Pier. It looks like unlimited seafood, beer, and wine tastings from West Side restaurants.

Has anyone been to previous years? Was it worth it? Were the crowds insane in that relatively small area?

Ticket prices go up $15 on Wednesday ($75/person now). https://offthehookseafoodfest.com/ Sunday, Oct 13th at 4 pm for GA tickets. 21+

I’ve never been but I’ve been getting the ads too. If you buy through Los Angeles Bucketlisters, you can get a small discount ($75 after fees instead of $81). If you’re interested in food events, LA Times Food Bowl is this weekend.

I’ve lived here for eons and never heard of it before- but I assume they aren’t lying and I just missed it. It sounds really good TBH! I saw it on the FB too. I’m also looking forward to the new seafood place at Wilshire and 2nd!!

Never heard of it before- but all this food talk has me hungry.

  4. It happened before Covid. I know the people throwing it. Looks like a fun event.
