Went to Mo Ran Gak in OC and they had this dipping sauce which tasted amazing!! It tasted like soy sauce but light and a bit pickly.

I go Mo Ran Gak like once a month, I should know this, but I don’t. I tried.

I think that is 참소스 , which is a brand name. And with some garlics sliced and green peppers chopped

As others said, cham so seu is the premade sauce you can find at Hmart or another Asian mart.

You use it to make a quick garlic+chili pickle like you see here. The trad version is called maneul (garlic) jang ajji. Super simple, it’s soy sauce, vinegar, sugar. Water down to taste.

It’s not really a dipping sauce (I do it bc tasty) but it’s meant as a side dish/banchan.

Here’s a good cham sauce recipe I found on a Korean website:

    6T water
    2T soy sauce
    2T Maesil plum extract
    2T sugar
    3T vinegar
    1T sesame oil
