What do I make with this so I don’t waste it?

  1. I’d chop them up smaller, freeze them, then blend them into a sorbet with other tropical type ingredients maybe add mango and/or passion fruit, some honey and a dash of heavy cream to help it blend

Or smoothies also with other tropical fruits like pineapple or mango.

  3. Is there such thing as a good dragonfruit? Every time I’ve had one it just tastes like a less-good kiwi.

  4. I’ve never had white dragonfruit that I thought was good, despite Asian friends telling me how great it is because “it’s not too sweet.” But in should be *little* sweet at least!

Red dragonfruit is where it’s at.

Dragon fruit never had any flavor, just fruit to eat that’s good for you and pretty to look at

I would suggest the yellow skinned ones or red flesh ones. These always taste like nothing with a side of vegetal matter

Apparently Dragon Fruit has a VERY short window of peak ripeness where it is REALLY good. Anything outside that window, and it is essentially tasteless. It’s pretty much impossible to harvest and transport to wherever it’s going before missing that window.

Apple, grapes, plums or anything canned is better than a dragonfruit. They are tasteless.

I like to put it in the blender with some lemon or lime juice and freshly cut watermelon.

    Refreshing and delicious

We grow pink with white at our home here in SoCal and they’re sweet. Incredibly good actually. I cut in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. It may be an import freshness factor that makes them lose flavor.

All dragonfruit I’ve ever had has been flavorless

DF is really only useful for adding a pretty pink color to whatever you’re making. Even at its best, it’s largely flavorless.

Dragon fruit can be used in skincare, as an ingredient in face masks, if you don’t want to eat it

  14. From what I’ve heard, they’re good if you pick them from the tree, but the ones that we get have been picked forever ago and been in storage/shipping for an eternity so only the worst ones survive to market.
