It’s The Netherlands’ only 3 Michelin Star restaurant, a distinction they have had for 20 years.

  2. Been there once for a breakfast that was a gift from my gf. She noticed them on forehand that she is a vegetarien and can’t stand egg yolk.
    When they served me 2 dishes, they had no alternative for her. Like none…
    She sat there watching me enjoy the dish, heartbreaking.

    This will always stay with me as a proud zwollenaar

  4. It’s not the only one in the Netherlands with 3 stars, there is a restaurant called Inter Scaldes with 3 stars who have had those for years!

  5. I live in the Netherlands this restaurant is on my whishlist. Last year I visit a 1 star restaurant and hotel "de Swarte Ruijter" which was amazing.
    " Russels landhouse" in Germany is also great.

  8. Watched you for a while now. The food presentation was amazing. The egg sunflower. Love a good tableside service and they were wonderful.

  9. I’ve never seen someone eat such stunning food an look less enthused. The staff tolerated your preaching and probably made fun of you when you left.

  11. damn this interior looks horrible. it has the look of wannabe chique and looks like its decorated by someone with no taste.

  12. Global wine industry is worth 4 billion euros per year? France alone exports more than 16 billion euros in wine. I found a figure for the global revenue of the wine industry of 330 billion dollars in 2023.

  13. I appreciate the beauty of each presentation and the time and effort to present it in such an elegant way. Such care and thought goes into each dish. I am also a realist who lives in an area of true deprivation, addiction and utter hopelessness in a homeless population that just keeps growing. I wish those that can afford such opulent lifestyles would donate $2500 to a food bank or drug rehab facility. Maybe roll their sleeves up and a spend a day serving others and discovering that the homeless are truly just like them. Just without the $ or the resources.

  14. I would never spend that amount of money for a meal, and so many of the items I do not like (ceviche & caviar). It is fun and interesting to see you trying them for us, so thanks for that! I'm a new subscriber and am glad that I found you.

  18. Love this content, only have been to their other restaurant’Librije’s Zusje’.
    But wondering why you did not choose one of the 2 wine selections that would probably have complemented the courses perfectly?

  19. i went both to the sister and liberije many years ago
    and to this day i had one bite kale (dutch style) at the sister restaurant wich was and still is the most mind blowing bite of food if ever had .

    In the netherlands we eat kale mushed with potato's and server it with sausage and bacon bits and gravy
    When we have leftovers we usually bake it in a pan with butter and it gets this crispy botom wich is delicious
    They somehow managed to get all these flavours in a tiny ball the size of a marble

    How i wish i could have that again

  20. For those interested in the apple syrup, it's "Canisius Rinse Appelstroop" and this is readily available (and yes, that exact red tin you see at 12:08) in nearly every supermarket. I heartily recommend it!
