This little ring on the top of my tomato, it’s like a swirl? Is it from a bug, or something else?

“Concentric cracking”, and is perfectly normal/fine.
Could be much, *much* worse….is nothing at all to worry about.

Typically happens when there’s been heavy rainfall.
As I’m renting I have to grow all my veggies in pots or a raised bed. I water regularly, typically daily, twice/day when it’s really hot out. My tomatoes were pristine until Helene dumped all that rain. Now my tomatoes are covered in cracks. So even if you water regularly, heavy rainfall can still cause the skins to split. Making sure your plants get enough calcium can help strengthen the skins, but unless you’re growing in a greenhouse where you have complete control over watering there will always be a potential for split skins.

I grew this exact same variety and pretty much all the tomatoes except one had this cracking pattern. Tasted great and still got a good yield tho!
