I just got off my first (only?) cruise ship experience to Alaska and my breakfast every day at sea was a NY bagel with lox, because you can't go to Alaska and not eat salmon. (Don't come at me with the mercury content, I will pay for my choices)
Anyway, I have trouble letting go, so I decided to recreate this gorgeous breakfast at home to ease the transition back onto land.
This beautiful thing is only 150 calories, with 10g fiber and 13.5g protein! And it tastes like the sunrise over the Alaska sea.
Half a 647 bagel, toasted: 80cal
Laughing Cow Creamy Light wedge: 25cal
1oz smoked sockeye: 40cal
Cucumber, radish, red onion: 5cal
Lemon pepper/lemon juice: we don't count that
I don't have capers or arugula like they did on the ship, but that's my next grocery trip. It super helps to pre-slice your veggies and just keep them in a dish for easy access in the fridge.
Pray for my mercury levels. I'm not going to be able to stop any time soon.
