So far have a habenero thats only gon one main stalk but is 3 ft or so tall and have had it 1-2 years now and gotten well over 100 peppers by now, have had oeopers constantly, then also have a ghost pepper plant thats 4 ft or so tall and atleast 4 maybe 5 ft wide about same age as habenero but only got 4 to 5 peppers in the beginning and none since oddly
You can also build yourself a small hothouse rowhouse and keep everything alive all winter and still growing. Take more effort but if you set yourself up right and do most of the work yourself it's cheap and easy, just takes some time to do.
I grew a Trinidad scorpion pepper plant in my house for a few years. I pollinated each flower myself with a q-tip. My wife would catch me making buzzing sounds while I was doing it. Ide just look up and tell her. I'ma bee.
I did this last year and put 5 pepper plants in one pot. Put them in my little living room window. Even harvested a few peppers. I have had peppers all summer. Can't wait to do this again!
I've been able to get 3 years out of mine. I just fertilize them and mulch at end of year (dead leaves). It's protected them from frost bite real well.

I’m trying to be successful at doing this for the peppers I have. 😅

I’m in California, can I just cut it back and leave it planted and just fertilize but in ground???
I guess in northeast we bring them inside ??
I've heard the peppers get hotter every year with this method

Habanero, not Habañero
Dude ur in sd you don’t need to do all that 😂
Ha-ba-nero not habanyero ok sir
I have done this to a heirloom pepper that had a taste similar to garlic and peppercorns.
This is a big waste of effort.
That's it, I'm trying it
Did this with tomatoes
Ok ? But why you have to dig it out? 😅 is it cuz u live in place where winter is cold ? Or some other reason ?
We have a Mad Hatter pepper plant what is 10 years old it’s a size of a pick up truck
I have 5yo reapers.
I’ve had the same chilli plants for 5 years getting bigger plants and more chilli’s to harvest each year even all throughout winter
chili plant
Why take it out of the ground? Is it just wheather? What if you live in california?
Do you keep watering your plant every so often?

Lifehack: move to south america
There are 6ft trees out there
10yr olds
The longer you grow a jalapeno the hotter they get. If they have that bark looking lines on them it means they're most likely hotter
