We have been using this for years and anyone who tries it loves it. Most don’t even realize it isn’t Hidden Valley.
Shelf stable ranch mix
1 cup buttermilk powder (make sure it doesn’t have to be refrigerated after opening) We love the one from Azure Standard
3 tablespoons parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons dill
1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoons dried chive
1/4 teaspoon thyme
2 t sugar (in the video I said the wrong amount of sugar)
Mix all together and store in an air tight container
To make dressing – mix 3 tablespoons mix with 1 cup mayo and 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup milk.
To make ranch dip – 3 tablespoon mix, 1 cup mayo and 1 cup sour cream. Let this sit for about an hour in the fridge to thicken and get tasty!

Thanks for sharing! The recipe I had was a little different, this one sounds perfect. Will make this one next. I would love to see how you menu plan etc. Again, thanks for sharing 😊
Golden balsamic…PLEASE give us this recipe
Would you please share the Golden Balsamic dressing recipe? Thank you! PS: I check every morning for a new video from y’all! 🥰🥰
Showing people how to meal plan and shop will be helpful for a lot of people. I say go for it.
I do the same thing when I have to buy groceries.
I also put a paper on the cupboard door, to write down items I need on a regular basis and this helps me stick to what I only need.
Looooove it! Thanks so much!
I found your channel and subscribed a couple weeks ago and I am addicted. Your content is very relevant. Keep up the good work. ❤
This is the same recipe I’ve used for years and it is so good! I also make a honey mustard and a balsamic vinaigrette. It has been years since I’ve bought a salad dressing, even when I’m feeding a hundred or more people at a time. Homemade is so much better and way cheaper! And plus, doesn’t it feel good to make it yourself? Love your channel!
Thank you from Australia. I hope you were not affected by the two horrific storms
i tried to find buttermilk powder here in france but it is too expensive ( the shipping costs are amazing ) do you have a substitute ??? thank you
Hi! Sooooo, I was reading the recipe while you talked…you said “tablespoons” but the recipe says “teaspoons”. Can you clarify please?
I love your real food recipes! Thank you.
Would you confirm which recipe is correct for your ranch dip? Verbally, you said, 2T mix to 1 c sour cream. The written recipe says 3T mix, 1 c mayo plus 1 c sour cream.
Big fan of ranch!!
Yes please! Pretty much anything you post, it’s a guarantee watch from me plus I need some new ideas!
Glad to hear everyone is safe and well! 🙏🏽
Can’t wait to make the dip this weekend! 😋
Would you consider a video(s) on pantry meals?
I adore you! Thank you for all you do. Your channel is a daily watch for me 🎉❤
I use the mix but instead of sour cream i use plain greek yoghurt. The texture and taste doesn't change and since i never have sour cream on hand it's a good substitute
Thank you so much for sharing. I just threw out several open, expired bottles of salad dressing. Making dressing or dip as needed will eliminate wasting food. 😊
I use have menu out my family's meals all the time. it was cheaper that way. What i did before anything was i made a list of all the meals that we liked and ate. Then make sure to sperate so i didn't have all the chicken meals together etc. i had a very picky family, however was still able to come up with over 31 meals. Going off that list i could meal prep for the whole month without eating the same thing more than once a month.
I am the only one who checks the fridge and my hubby is diabetic, he will never tell me what he wants to eat and I never know when he will be home to eat, it is tough to plan anything. He wants hot food when he is ready for it. I stopped cooking and we eat sandwiches because I work two jobs and can’t stand forever making food when I get home. I am exhausted at 68 and need low carb quick meals. Your videos are fantastic
Ooooo, the Golden Balsamic with honey sounds wonderful. Do share! Also, I do think that menu/meal/budget planning would be awesome. So many don’t know where to start. I’m a bit jelly that your hubby does it with you. Mine won’t. However, we established a while back that I will make what I make and he can eat it or not! 🙂 So there! Haha!
Thank you sooo much. We have 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren so we use bucket loads of ranch! Will Def try this today!! By the way I love your little yellow dress…adorable!!
I’ve only recently found your channel, so I’m extremely happy that you did this recipe again, or I would have never seen it.❣️
I really like the topic of your videos and the charm you narrate, like your best friend is talking to you. 🙂 I bought the buttermilk powder from Azure Standard last year and it arrived like a brick. I try to literally chip away at it, but don't use it as much as I should. I wonder if anyone has suggestions on how to bring it back to powder form? (I know, I should contact Azure Standard, but that's not my strong trait). Comments welcome.
Love your channel. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
This is a bit more simple than the recipe I use. I add true lemon and a few other herbs to mine. It's hard to find all the ingredients, cheaply. I will have to try your recipe.
Love your recipes! I am soooo over the heat in Texas this year!
Definitely going to make this! Ty so
Much!
Do you have a recipe for creamy french dressing? And yes! To the meal prep video.
💖💖👍👍🙏🙏👍👍💖💖
It’s pretty hot here today, 101. AZ is just to much this year, maybe because I am getting older but I don’t remember last year being so hot at this time. Love watching you All, thank you😊
Yes please with the list. And thank goodness
So last week I had never heard of you, but this week I have watch several of your videos! Now to just implement what I am learning! Lol
I would totally watch it! Go for it!
The timing of this recipe is perfect….. I was in need of Ranch Dressing mix
We do our menu then list too!
I have to look into getting some buttermilk powder. I can rarely find buttermilk in stores here. Not even the powder so amazon it will be.
Great! Thank you
Love your videos!! Thank youuuu ♥!! Can you make a large batch of your italian seasoning packets please? I buy them almost as often as the ranch packets unfortunately. Also, when i wzs much younger, kraft had a bacon and tomato salad dressing. It was my fave and i cantfind anything similar. Any ideas? I do use catalina alot on my salad. Thats another good one. Thanks for all your hard work and honesty and making it fun to be thrifty!!
Thank you, Allie! I prefer granulated garlic. I can’t wait to make this.
I'm interested in meal planning, grocery list etc
