How small can I pull the green tomatoes with the first frost coming tonight? I have some that are golf ball sized but would grow to full size. I have a lot of grape tomatoes not ripe as well. What do I do with them now? Wrap in newspaper and put in a cardboard box somewhere dark and cool? How often should I check them? Any better methods recommended?

So sad to see the season end….

I’m trying the brown paper bag + banana method this year. I pulled all mine yesterday anticipating the freeze.

I got surprised by first frost by like 10 days this year, but I made mixed green and red pickled tomatoes and I think that’s going to be a keeper for years to come.

Sadly had to uproot our tomatoes yesterday as we are now having evenings dipping into the 40’s and high 30’s.
