This seems suspiciously low calorie… especially when the white rice spicy salmon rolls right next to it were 400 😭😭

What did it say when you googled it?
lemonsinmysocks
maybe it’s 270 calories/100g, that would seem more realistic

Salmon has more calories than tuna does.

I doubt it, but you could try to break down the ingredients and calculate.
Hard to tell what the size of the roll is from a picture, but let’s say this is 1.5 tbsp of spicy Kewpie mayo on top, that would be about 120 calories. Let’s say 1/4 avocado in the roll, that would be like 60 calories. I don’t feel like looking all the ingredients up, but do the same with eyeballing how much brown rice, sesame seeds, tuna, etc are in the roll.
But yeah with both mayo and avocado, 270 seems unlikely, unless this is much smaller than a normal roll.

Doubtful. I’m guessing the sauce alone is 100 calories

Hmm it’s about 1/2 cup brown rice at ~150, 1/4 avo ~40 cal, 1 oz tuna ~40 cal, mayo 1/2 tbs 50 cal. So eyeballing that roughly 280 calories I calculated
anapatzzzz
i would assume is per 100g
wwwangels
That’s probably per serving. How many servings does the package contain ?

Okay little update: I think I’m going to log it as 330 just to be safe. Ty for the help everyone!!

The rice, avocado and mayo are really the big contributors to calories here while the rice, avocado and tuna are the densest (in terms of weight)
Given net weight of 200g, let’s assume 33% is rice, 33% is avocado and the rest form the other ingredients (tuna + et. al)
66g rounded up to 75g of rice is about 100 cals (a good rule of thumb to remember).
~70g of avocado is also roughly 100 cals (+/- 20 cals)
If we assume the rest is Tuna and mayo, 270 calories for 200g of sushi doesn’t seem far fetched. I would say maybe 300 would be a good number to log in.
But the point of my tedious, useless quick math was to help myself in social situations where a lot of people groaned or rolled their eyes when I mention I count calories. So I use this as a way to make rough estimates (similar to how most engineers do math lol) to save face and so far it hasn’t let me down.

Hopefully you find it useful at some point!
