I purchased a new Drip Tray, my last one is over 3 years old and very rusted and caked on.
Has anyone found a solution to prevent severe rust? It's gets pretty bad with these parts.

I keep my original wrapped in heavy duty reynolds foil

I emailed camp chef and asked for a new one. Replacement showed up like 3 days later.

I never use the grill function. Mine is wrapped with heavy duty aluminum foil. I change it out once a year when I clean the grill

Could you spray it with high temp paint maybe? I’m basically talking out of my ass here so idk if that’s even something that can be done or should be done inside a smoker.

I wrap mine in like 5 layers of heavy duty foil. Take one off every time I use it. When I get to the bottom, it’s time to pull the tray out, vacuum out the bottom, and add a few more layers of foil.
