Welcome Back to It’s Cooking Good. Today we are cooking a little creation using ingredients we had in (apart from the buns). These Italian inspired Burgers are delicious, so good in fact I have given them my own name ‘Bellissimo Burgers’. We start off with a mix of Beef & Pork mince, make into a patty shape and then stuff with Mozzarella that has been encased in Parma Ham to protect from oozing out. These are then cooked on the Japanese Konro Grill whilst we make up a simple pesto to top off our burgers. I did make these burgers big (we were hungry) but the quantities would easily make 4 smaller burgers. Due to the size you have to manage the heat somewhat so they are cooked all the way through, but boy was it worth it! Check out the cheese pull 🙂
Ingredients:
250G – 15% Beef Mince
250G – Pork Mince
1 Mozzarella Ball – Sliced
4 – Slices Parma Ham
Oil for Brushing
Salt & Pepper for seasoning
For The Pesto:
2 Cloves Garlic
2 TBSP – Pine Nuts (Toasted)
1/2 Cup – Parmesan Cheese
Bunch – Fresh Basil
4 TBSP – Olive Oil – Start with less and work way up, may take more or less, you don’t want it too thin in consistency.
Tomato & Mayonnaise for Garnish
