If that’s pesto, no. You could have a made a minestrina though.

  2. You tried your best and I’m very proud of you for that! Keep learning and expanding your culinary talent! 💓

I think you cooked the pesto and you shouldn’t do that at least not for long

Seems like the pesto got cooked? Other than that I can’t see anything wrong. Whats important is if you enjoyed it.

Try adding the pesto once it’s cooled a tad more. Not sure why but doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of ‘sauce’. Looks like the pesto wasn’t stirred enough or something I’m not sure.

So often with Indian food you simmer or even broil the main in the sauce for a while to have it look like this. Italian you want to just barely cook the sauce into the main. Next time, cook your pasta until it’s close to done. Add pasta water, cheese and your sauce to the drained pasta. Toss for a moment until it’s still a bit runny.

Good job! Not many try eating other cuisines , let alone try making them and then want feedback.

Looks good, if that’s a first try. Like the others said, it’s a little dry. Not that sauce is less, but the consistency has to be little more runny to give the saucy mouthful. Less pasta, more sauce! And as an Indian , I love to have some charred cherry tomatoes on the side to break the monotony , if having pasta as mains.

  9. You cant just throw Basil leaves over food and expect it to be authentic!

  10. What is it? Overcooked pasta, and pesto? With basil leaves on it?

  11. Don’t get discouraged! Its a first attempt. We all have to start somewhere. You should watch some videos on Italian cooking and you will improve over time.

  12. Me when I try to mix the sauce so the color on the pasta is homogeneous.

Ok so you’ve over cooked the pasta.

    Next time

Cook the pasta in a pot and remove it when it’s al dented.

Then stir in the pesto after draining the water, turn the heat off before doing this and mix well

You need to cool down pasta a bit , also bit of parmesan at end ? It’s okay when i first started learning pesto it looked bit dark too 😅
