For the pumpkins use a thicker outline icing and let dry before flooding insides. Your pumpkin sections will be more noticeable. Thinner legs on the spider. Most issues can be helped with making different thicknesses of each icing color but of course it’s more work to make multiple thicknesses of one color. Good job!

Great job! They look yummy! For the eyes, make the outline shapes first, then make the outline of the outer cookie. Once those lines dry, then start flooding the cookie. First the body of the cookie, let that dry, then go back and fill out the eyes. The spider–same thing, outline the legs, let dry, then come back and do the body. The pumpkins without eyes, broom, and hat came out excellent!

Biggest thing I will tell you is to outline the entire candy corn in 1 color. Other than the uneven edges there they look great.

These look great!! Just keep practicing and experiment with different royal icing recipes. Beka Claire on youtube was very helpful to me when I was first starting out!

My tip would be to allow certain sections to dry for a bit before doing an adjoining section, such as your pumpkins. I’d do the middle flood section first, wait 10-15 mins then do the sides! Same with the spider, I would have done the body, waited a bit, then the legs!

Love the broom and the crab in upper right.

Just the spider’s legs need to be thinner. Details using a fine piping tip. These look great and wouldn’t know it was first time out!

I thought they turned out very nicely. Only thing I would suggest with the pumpkins is to make sure your vertical lines are dry before you fill in.
