My flabbers were ghasted when I pulled this absolute unit out of the salad bar earlier. 75% of them were like this.

Hey. Just cause I was there, does not mean I was here mentally okay?

The knife that cut that is blunt as fuck. They’re applying so much pressure that they’re smushing the tomato.

Buy that kitchen a god damn chantry.

Somehow morning crew tomatoes are always the worst. We had someone who refused to listen when we taught her how to cut tomatoes and each night could take a slice she did and get at least 2 more out of it 😭🤣

I mean.. on the bright side at least the guy tried to cut some tomatoes for you. That’s more than a lot of us get lmao

  6. If I were a customer, I’d love tomatoes like that.

Morning shift needs to use a serrated knife and think about what they’d like left for them…

It ain’t even the thickness cause a burger shop I used to work at had a thick cut tomato we used to grill, it’s the fact that it looks like it was cut with a dollar store switchblade.

Teach them the first cut is top to bottom through the stem.

A Chef hit me and threw cantaloupe at me for bad cut tomatoes

They’re cut in such a manner to provide maximum topping adherence. Where your typical flat sliced tomato is prone to slippage, shirt stainage, and general sandwich problems; this method, known as the diamond grip oblique cut, allows the sandwich to retain perfect topping cohesion, with a staggered gripping, interlocking action.
