Demo Eggs… has anyone ever purchased a demo egg from EggFest or similar event? Thinking about purchasing an XL for $1500. Opinions are welcome. TIA

That’s about a $1k discount. I would double check the warranty is included. Lifetime warranty is a nice thing to have but personally I would do it anyway. I’m lucky enough to live 3 miles from their home base and they honored the warranty (which I’m not sure if I even registered for) by showing them a pic of the broken part.

I have purchased one at an eggfest. They are covered with the warranty. Great deal!

I’ve had a demo egg from a local event for about 5 years now. The distributor that sold it to me has honored the warranty (I’ve replaced a firebox). It has worked great and was a huge discount. If you haven’t done it yet, I’d would recommend you do.

Do it. I’ve cooked at a couple of egg fests. All the cooks know that these eggs will eventually be bought by people, so we’re all very respectful with them. And seriously, all they’ve done is made sure it’s assembled right, and helped to break it in.
Don’t overthink this one!

I bought a demo egg back in like 2010. Still use it regularly. Comes with a warranty.

Yep. Did it also. No brainer. Just be prepared to haul it with straps and such to keep it in place. Find some friends to help lift it out and place it!

I purchased a demo. Runs perfectly and it was tuned up by the dealer!

That’s how I got my first large, rocked up and stuffed it in a Mini Cooper. Had that egg for 14 years until I upgraded to an XL last summer.

12 years ago I got my XL as a demo for $800, best investment. Still smoking and just got the fire box replaced on warranty this year.

Got my XL a couple of years ago at an EggFest. Best decision I made that year.

Bought my Large at Egg Fest. They helped load it in. My biggest problem was getting it out! 🙂 Best purchase and great deal!

My neighbor purchased his egg right after EGGtoberfest about 2 years ago! His only regret was not pulling the trigger on the XL lol talk to him just about everyday and he brings it up every conversation!
If they still have them at HQ, pull that trigger! 🫡

I didn’t know there was an egg fest this weekend, I’m 2 hours away from it.
