I would have been so god damn happy if I gota crouton pillar in my caesar salad, I won’t lie. Chef made a mistake (the right choice).

Chef made this choice so he could eat it instead

    Do he want small croutons?

They do mix through the salad easier

Thank you for documenting this crouton for future generations.

Please tell me that crouton did not go in the trash

When taken singularly as it is here, chef made the right call.

However, a second one of the same size would be 🔥.

I’d use it to push all the bits onto the fork. Edible utensil is sick.

Where in the Midwest is this? As someone on the Illinois/Wisconsin border, it needs more.

But he let you serve a bundle of shaved parm. That’s not a Caesar, that’s a parm salad with some lettuce

It could have just been quickly broken up then instead of not being used and wasting it.

Chef wants to study it for educational purposes

Jeez. I’d be happy to have that dropped at my table.

There is a place near me in San Antonio that makes a salad with a crispy parm crouton as big as a sharks fin

Unpopular opinion. Breadcrumbs are better than croutons on a Caesar. Change my mind.

Also to your chef. Kudos. If the dish is supposed be croutons, don’t put it out with a breadstick.

Oh my god we just got one of these a couple days ago. Sysco home style croutons?

But I just saw a “fancy” Caesar at an overpriced restaurant and tell me why their crouton was THAT exact crouton 😭🤣
