    On a related note, whenever I start dating someone new I make sure they like onions and garlic. Someone asking me not to pile raw onions on my sandwich is not for me. Deal breaker.

    As someone who works in food even people who hate onions like onions. I get orders for no onion all the time, and have to let guests know that there’s onion in the napoli/guac/burger sauce, pretty much everything right. Very rarely do people ask to drop those ingredients which would frankly taste very one dimensional without the onion.
