Maybe next time compare it to something that actually doesn’t sound like fun

Fun fact about Ontario (where I live) we *definitely* don’t *all* do that

  3. I’ve only had pepperoni this way one time and I’m from Ontario but its really good tho

  4. Difficult_Rush_1891

At least they don’t refer to it as bacon

As someone who’s lived in Ontario their whole life, I’ve never seen this.

It’s big in Windsor from what I understand.

I actually like this. The whole pizza gets an even coating, and you don’t have to worry about each slice having an equal amount

  7. CereBRO12121

It’s a crime this is not done more places. I will try this tomorrow.

I would prefer pizza like this so I’m not dragging en entire pepperoni from what would’ve been a godly next bite

  9. Aliteracy

I’d be okay with it. I like my peps quartered as is

My tight arse would put the pieces together to see how many whole slices I get nd see if they ripping me off

  11. It’s like jaywalking. Technically illegal, but generally acceptable.

Wait what? It’s a crime… I want to eat it to be honest XD

    This is from Windsor Ontario.

It does not really exist outside of Windsor Ontario aside from a few “Windsor style” pizza places that have opened up.

It’s honestly amazing. The pepperoni is imported from Montreal. It has a deep flavour to it that is hard for me to describe.

They also use canned mushrooms because regular mushrooms dry out in the oven. They take a lot of shit for using “cheaper ingredients” but canned mushrooms are actually more expensive than fresh ones at this current point in time.

Cornmeal is used instead of semolina flour when the pie is shaped, so it will be stuck to the bottom of it when it comes out of the oven in the same way semolina is used.

The pizza is originally based off of sicilian style pizza, because the original mother chain of Windsor pizza (Volcano Pizza) was run by Sicilian immigrants. However it is a bit thinner, but has the same sized crust as the traditional style. If you get a queen or king size, most chains serve a square pizza cut into square slices.

It truly is fantastic pizza, and is sort of a hidden gem in the pizza world. I would recommend it to any pizza fan.

Does this allow for more peperoni on the pizza per bite? It seems like it should.

I have lived in Ontario for 35 years and NEVER seen this until this post.

I feel like something that shouldn’t be a crime, but technically is, like weed.

  17. overworkedpnw

That’s it, Ontario needs to go to jail. The whole thing.
