First time trying these, and I wanted to go simple and let the flavor star. So just mashed with the oil and some celery and scallion on crispbread.

These had a welcome bit of heat! I’m very used to spicy eats so if I could detect it, it may be too much for some folks. But more present was the really nice notes of clove and bay.

This is easily a Top 5 tin for me! Sardines were hefty, meaty and clean-tasting, and the seasoning was a nice change of pace from olive oil or lemon, which I mainly choose. Will definitely seek out this tin, and I highly recommend it.

They’re an excellent tin of fish! I remove the clove tho, it’s too much for me

Hands down my favorite tin – though I always remove the clove too! Love them on a sardine sandwich with lemon and sautéed spinach.

  3. On the topic of clove, I just want to point out that the Pollastrini sardines don’t include clove in their spicy varieties. Plus they’re mighty good.

What did toy do with the tin oil? I use it for anything I can think of

Just opened my 2nd Flower Moroccan Spiced tin today. It pairs so well, with the delicious spicy red tinged olive oil poured and mash mixed with rice.

I’ve never had a tin with so many scales as this one. Do you remove them, or just eat them as is? I don’t enjoy the texture and they get stuck in my teeth. Other than that, they’re very nice.

    I have a rookie question.

    Are these deboned and descaled?
