Great use for those – mix them into your mac and cheese

I’m glad I’m not the only one who buys these to put in meals and then ends up eating them straight out of the packaging lol

US expats in the UK are always bemoaning the impossibility of getting them here. But you can get crispy fried shallots in some Asian markets.
I second them on mac & cheese. I was never a green bean casserole person, but I love me some mac & cheese with onions.

I always buy two.
“What ya making?” Nom, nom.
“Nothing.” Nom, nom.

*Opens pantry* *Takes three finger tips full of crispy onion stuffs and toss it into my face* 1 hour later *Do it again.* Repeat until empty.

My green bean casserole (yay thanksgiving is soon and one of the only times I make it) is fire and has double the crispy onions!!

Used to get cases of the 24 oz. packages at my last job. Somehow we were always running out prematurely. Huh.

OMg I just found them on sale at my store and I’m just eating them like chips.

Relatable I do this too they’re so good

It’s always so tempting to buy the 24 oz. bag every time I go to cash & carry (restaurant supply store, open to the public), but I haven’t yet because I know that I’ll be fat and eat the entire thing within two days.
Doesn’t help that the bag contains 4 times as much as the plastic tub, but it’s only twice the price.

How was that heartburn?
Realistic_Breath_249
Yep, if I buy them for a specific recipe I have to buy a 2nd, backup ‘decoy’ bag as well (myself and my teen son are guilty). Or I won’t have any left for the actual recipe.

If you have a Walmart near you, I recommend trying the great value crispy onions. I think they taste a lot better than the name brand and are way more addictive

I don’t even eat many prepacked things in general, but these are fire in any form whether eating them on their own or using them in recipes.
If they weren’t a crap ton of calories, I’d down multiple of these as a snack everyday lol.

This is precisely why I do not buy them anymore. I eat them by themselves before I end up getting it on a sandwich or any other food. She gone before that happens
