Hello Folks!

I hope I find you all well. Tonight for tea, I made this delicious mince and dough balls…or suet dumplings 🙂 I grew up loving this! My mother made this quite often, but she never put them in the oven to go crispy, she served them straight from the pot. However you have them…they’ll be delicious!

  3. I used to put Cheddar biscuits on top of stew and/or chili and bake it till it was all bubbly and crispy on top. Really filled my boys up nicely.

  7. You have totally got to bake dumplings in the oven. I’ve seen folk cooking them in the pan that’s been used to cook the main but you cannot have soggy dumplings, they need a lovely crust in order to even be edible.

  8. I love simple pain and cheap cheap recipes that can fill everyones belly's. No crazy additives that can't be pronounced. Just simple, old fashioned make something from nothing cooking!

  13. I haven’t made this in ages , definitely on my what’s for tea menu this week 🐨💗 I make in my multi cooker too.

  14. My hubby is not keen on mince, so I do exactly the same, but with diced chicken. The dumplings are first to be eaton

  15. My goodness, not had "doughballs" since I lost my Mum. Was 15 years ago. Thanks for rekindling special memories 😊

  16. When’s the cookbook coming out? I’d pay for a pdf even! Though it wouldn’t come with the lovely voice and demeanor that comes with the videos, but as always, thanks for sharing Cheryl.
