these pictures are god awful, but it’s a gluten-free crunchwrap, hot tofu sandwich, chili cheese fries (using coney sauce as the chili), and “litty fries” which are seasoned fries with mayo, chili oil, parmesan.
they still do awesome work and absolutely make some of the best vegan food in the area (which there are so few of now). the food comes out fast, the cost is fair given 2024 prices, and it’s filling. highly recommended.
notes dump: the gluten free tortilla is wild. my girlfriend had me try it to verify and it’s seriously hard tell. the cumin is a *little* heavy handed in the walnut meat — and i love cumin. also, iceberg > romaine for t-bell mocks. the seasoning on the little fries has sugar in it, which i like the uniqueness of, but it’s a tiny bit too much. the coney sauce wasn’t as “rich” as i was hoping but it was still a solid recreation. i feel like they changed their cheese sauce and it was probably singly my least favorite ingredient — it wasn’t cheesy at all. zero notes on the hot chicky sandwich.. truly delicious.
tl;dr: an A for non-cooks and using comps, a solid B from us. SUPPORT THIS PLACE!

Used to love this place but the last couple times I had it, it was just a salt bomb—couldn’t taste an thing else but salt. 🫠

I see your notes on the Coney sauce and I’m curious since it sounds like you have a good reference for what Coney sauce ought to be- do you have a go-to recipe that you use to make your own? I had a vegan Coney last time I visited (can’t remember the name of the spot) but I had a sense that the seasonings weren’t quite authentic and would love to make the real deal myself if possible.
