First 2 photos are from the Chillie I got the seeds. Last photo is the chillies busy forming.. Still unsure what chillie it is… Definitely not jalapeño as previously suggested by other growers. Taste profile is like a spicy green bell pepper. (I got jalapeños too and they differ so much in taste)

Sorry for my terrible English

  1. It looks like some variety of jalapeño to me, but I could be wrong!

  2. Almost certainly a jalapeño variety. I grew a “Sriracha” jalapeño variety and they looked just like this.

Could be anything really, depends on possible crosses. First pepper looks like a half ripe jalapeno to me. Second looks like a ripe jalapeno to me. Never grown them though so not sure about third. I don’t like the flavor of jalapeno all that much.

Having grown quite a bit of Fresno peppers this year, I’m going with Fresno. Color change is exactly like them, slightly more rounded tips than jalapeños.

    According to AI.

Yes possible that the pepper in your image is a Fresno pepper rather than a jalapeño. Fresnos are typically more elongated and have a smoother skin, while jalapeños are usually shorter and have a more bulbous shape. The color also matches the mature stage of Fresno peppers, which are bright red when fully ripe. If you have more details about its taste or heat level, that could help confirm the identification!

“Nacho Cheese Jalepeno” according to the seeds I got from Walmart. They looked just like that.

Either a Fresno or Jalapeño – Fresnos, or at least the plant I grew this year, tend to be noticeably thicker and wider than jalapeños and a little hotter, if that helps!
