I’ve got a buddy who’s ex-Army and another who’s ex-Marine, both restaurant owners. Ex-Marine’s wife set up his birthday dinner a few years ago at the ex-Army guy’s place. Ex-Army guy wrote them a 5 course menu in crayon then capped the evening with an edible pack of crayons to take home.

I am a navy photojournalist, and I did a funeral not to long ago… Anyway they had a cake cutting photo from the dudes prime and holy fuck it looked like some kind of movie set photo. Wild times back then. Nowadays our cake cuttings are so boring.
